I was found suitable for parole on December 28, 2005, after serving seventeen years (17) in prison for
conspiracy.  No murder occurred, no attempt was made on any one's life, and no one was harmed or injured in any way, in my case.  At my Parole Board Hearing in 2005 both the Parole Commissioners and the Deputy District Attorney agreed that I present no threat to public safety and that 17 years was enough time to have served on this case.

The Parole Board rules do not contain a recommended term for conspiracy so when my case was reviewed in Sacramento my parole date was set for June 2010.  This is the same term that I would have served if someone had actually been murdered.

My attorney filed for my immediate release on November 27, 2006 because of my multiple medical disabilities; including hypertension, diabetes, cardio-vascular disease, hearing loss, and the fact that I had a stroke in 1993 and again on January 5, 2007, that has left me blind in my left eye.

The responding Parole Board Attorney denied this request on February 22, 2007, stating that I had no vocation, no viable parole plans, and that my medical problems were not that serious, despite the fact that the State has spent over one million dollars ($1,000,000) on my medical care.  I have been hospitalized in critical condition on several occasions.  In other words the denial of an immediate release was based on false and erroneous information.

I fear that I will die before 2010 and never live to see my daughter and granddaughter or my first great-grandchild - born on February 27, 2007.  I will move there with them in Jackson, Mississippi once I am paroled.  I have paid my debt to society, served my term, and can provide for myself financially rather than Being a burden to the taxpayers of California.

Please contact Governor Schwarzenegger and ask him to order my immediate release on humanitarian grounds, and the benefit of the California taxpayers.  Thank you for listening to my story.
