Making sure that those on the inside are remembered on these days.
Being on the inside is very lonely and many of these women rarely get
visitors and have lost their families. This is ACWIP's way of bringing
some little bit of comfort to them on these special days and letting them
know that they are not forgotten and that someone out there is thinking of
them.
ACWIP member Jane Burtis coordinates a Greeting Card Project that
matches incarcerated women at the California Institution for Women in Corona
with women on the outside to make sure they receive a Greeting Card
Christmas and on their Birthdays.
